The Missio Dei (Mission of God) reflects His love, justice, and desire for reconciliation, demonstrating that mission is not just an activity of the church but a core aspect of who God is. Missio Dei is a Latin Christian theological term that can be translated as the “mission of God”, or the “sending of God”. In the beginning, there was a wonderful relationship between God and man, but the fall into sin damaged this relationship and the relationship was scarred. Adam and Eve turned their backs on God (rejected Him) by disobeying Him and following the advice of Satan. It is God (the one rejected) that took the initiative to reconcile man with Himself. In 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 It is a concept which has become increasingly important in missiology and in understanding the mission of the church since the second half of the 20th century.
