Student Support
Your support at home comes from your personal mentor:
Learners nominate a workplace supervisor to oversee their work component tasks. Your supervisor signs a memorandum of understanding that they will mentor you, provide practical module oversight and opportunity to apply skills in ministry. RaGLA maintains contact with your supervisor to ensure the supervisor understands their role and responsibilities and submits workplace evidence accordingly.
Reporting when you need additional support:
We are fully aware that life is full of twists and turns and some unforseen events may occur during your time of learning with RaGLA. We are here to ensure you are supported during these unpredictable and unplanned times in the best ways possible.
As learners, you are responible to inform RaGLA when you, the learner, experiences an emotional, social, personal or familial crisis. Address these situations to RAGLA to support@ragla.org and we will assist you in the best ways possible to ensure course work is managed appropriately.
Contact the administrator (administrator@ragla.org) when you know you will fall behind in the programme. The RaGLA office will work with you to plan around calendar changes.
Financial Aid
Study loans are available through several external institutions and banks. Follow the link provided for more information and how to apply:
We offer a limited number of partial scholarships for dedicated learners. These applications are permitted after completion of your first year of studies. Email support@RAGLA.org for more information.
Disability Support:
As an Institution with a Christian ethos, our faith-based values at Reaching a Generation recognises the giftedness of all people, even those previously excluded from Higher Education due to a disability. We will screen learner’s on a case by case situation to ensure the learner will benefit from this program. Most of the program is done online, affording access for those with even mobility challenges.
Entrepreneurship:
The Reaching a Generation Group (reachingageneration.org) promotes entrepreneurship through its different programs. Learners will be exposed to initiatives that encourage sustainablility and economic growth. Our philosphy, “Business as Mission” encourages self-starters.
Job Placement:
During the course of the learning program, learners are functioning within their communities under the mentorship and guidance of their community pastor or a Faith-Based Organisation leader who is working together with the RaGLA Community Liaison Officer. Students are encouraged to build relationships within their community and ultimately function and serve as a professional Christian leader. From these relationship, the learner will be able to have a base to start working from, even post-studies.
RaGLA networks with several denominations and other like-minded organisations. When job openings are available, RaGLA will advertise these to learners and provide references.

*Note that RaGLA does not ordain pastors. We are not a church. Ordination is done by the local church ministry or denomination.
Articulation into HEI’s (Further Studies):
Occupational training accumilates a greater number of credits than academic institutions on the same NQF level. This is due to the additional practical and workplace components of the program. You may be elegible for a credit transfer of up to 60 credits into another Higher Education Institute for further learning in the Social Sciences field. Each institution, however, makes this judgement based on its program requirements.
