Glossary – Useful terms important in this Module and learning program, with definitions.

Intergenerational

Emphasises relationships between age groups and encourages mixed-age activities.  In our context, “intergenerational” is a biblical philosophy, respecting and taking into consideration that all age groups (including babies and children) are important to God and the Church. Holistic

Taking into account the whole person; social, physical, mental and spiritual.

Ethics

The moral principles governing a person or society’s behaviour.

Community

Wikipedia defines a community as a social unit (a group of living things) with commonality such as norms, religion, values, customs, or identity. Communities may share a sense of place situated in a given geographical area (e.g. a country, village, town, or neighbourhood) or in virtual space through communication platforms.
